Seat 4: rounder1551 ($820 in chips)
Seat 5: boofie ($3,300 in chips)
Seat 6: mkd123 ($3,205 in chips)
Seat 9: therev ($2,585 in chips)
Seat 10: Jackeyes ($3,305 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
Jackeyes posts blind ($100), HERO posts blind ($200).

PRE-FLOP
kingacehole folds, rounder1551 folds, boofie bets $500, mkd123 calls $500, therev folds, Jackeyes calls $400, HERO calls $300.

My questions about that hand are... Is my pre flop call standard, with so many callers behind? Do you think villian could be making a move like this with a hand like 9's, or only a pp of 10+?

I'm always confused what to do with the low pockets when I'm around 10x bb. Calling ended up being the best move here but should I be waiting for better hands, or rase something like 2.5xbb...something I can get away from easily?

Hand #1

You are getting 5.6 to 1 pot odds, so this is an easy call for me. It is 24% of your stack, but with those pot odds, I call.

Hand #2

With the amount of money you have left, this is a push or fold situation. I do not call. I would push. Looking at the remaining player's stacks, they would have to have a pretty good hand to call with. You have enough chips left to really hurt them if they call. Unless you have some kind of read on one of them as being really LAGgy, I would push and add 15% to my stack.

you should be pushing hand #1, there's more in the pot then you have left in your stack by the time the action gets to you. any flush draw or OESD will be justified in calling your push if you flop a pair. get your money in now with the huge pot overlay and the likelyhood that you are either racing or dominating whoever calls you.

hand #2 is a fold. you should almost never open limp, always apply pressure. you dont have enough of a stack to justify seeing the flop for a set. and it's not even close.
