Juices. Years ago I had horrible food poisoning. After about my fifth vomit, I drank 24 oz of orange and then apple/kiwi juice (was pretty dehydrated at that point so I chugged them down).

Less than five minutes later, I was hurling again.

The juice was still cool, and actually quite refreshing the second time.

I've heard the single best thing to eat is warm apple pie. It's nice and soft coming up, and the cinnamon makes your puke quite palatable.

Really? I thought milk was like the worst thing for this kind of situation.

You aren't sick yet, right? Milk is fine, it will settle your stomach down. Once the inevitable occurs switch immediately to juices, gatorade and soups.

Also, eat whatever seems to be agreeing with the rest of your sick family. (This may be the best advice.)

Spagetti, as it may make for great art.

I have experience from last night. Here's the story:

Went to see Syriana with the gf. Before going we went to a Montana's in the same parking complex. It was all you can eat ribs night. I ate a lot. I stopped when I thought I was about to be uncomfortably full. But then the gf ordered a dessert to split. It was the mile high mud pie. I ate half. I was then uncomfortably full.

When we got to the theatre I thought it wise to dispense with part of my meal so I went into the john and stuck my fingers down my throat. I did 3 minor chocolate upchucks. It was liquid chocolate and it was not unpleasant at all.

So my recommendation is anything chocolate.
