something to ponder
how often do you think about other pocket pairs? for example, i just lost a big pot when nothing higher than a ten fell. my JJ < other guys KK < other guys AA.
It doesn't seem like the first time this has happened to me. I couldn't drop my hand despite all the betting, because as the chances of draws and overcards went away on the board i figured my PP might stand up. But no, not even close. End rant. Maybe the PF cap was an indication of this. but c'mon, that just doesn't seem realistic. |

Re: something to ponder
When it gets capped preflop and you hold JJ, you should probably think about folding if it's ever 2 to you on the turn, assuming the flurry of betting and depending on reads. You have to start thinking about AA-QQ then.

Re: something to ponder
Well I cap with AKs, AKo, AQs, KQs but thats about it. I kind of hopped it was the table going on tilt... but it was just me. I have trouble throwing away a non improving pocket pair ESPECAILLY on a board that is so boring. but the reverse is that all these bets on a boring board must have some meaning.

Re: something to ponder
you should only be capping AA-QQ and AKs and that's in a loose game from lp
