Re: What happened to sbrlines.com and sportsbookreview.com?
Alright, I finally found the source of the problem.
As usual it was my [censored] Linksys router. Apparently it randomly blocked those two webpages for no apparent reason...tech support guy said it is pretty common. Resetting it fixed the problem. That piece of garbage has caused me much agony over the years. For future reference: DO NOT go through a router if you don't have to, and if you do, DO NOT buy a Linksys...I found out too late that Linksys routers almost as a rule do not work. I've had 100 different problems w/ this one, and this is my 3rd router (returned the first two for a free replacement, although this had more to do w/ me haggling than store policy). However, at this point I'm so familiar w/ Linksys it's not worth buying another one and switching. This was extra confusing because SBRlines actually IS down from time to time, which is why it took me so long to figure out something was wrong...thanks to all for the suggestions. |

continuing OT
Glad to hear you got it resolved.
netgear >>> linksys, but i've used linksys equipment in the past at small sites without too much trouble... still a router is a much better recomendation than just connecting your computer directly to the internet. |
