Default Tunica Horseshoe

Although this post sounds like it should be in tournament forum, I believe the ones in know will be reading the B&M forums.

The Tunica Horseshoe & Goldstrike shared the Binion’s World Poker Open in the past. I believe the genus of the WPO was at the Horseshoe. The Horseshoe relented its part in the WPO to the Goldstrike.

The WSOP no longer takes place at the LV Horseshoe, b/c Harrahs moved it to the Rio.

Harrahs has put a WSOP circuit event at the Tunica Grand. I understand that Ceasers owns the Grand, and Harrah’s and Ceasers are now one and the same. Harrahs could have put it at the Horseshoe.

The Tunica Horseshoe (owned by Harrahs) has upgraded its poker room, and it is considered one of the better ones outside LV, and the best room of the other Horseshoes.

As I see it there is not a major tournament at a Horseshoe casino.

THE QUESTION - Does Harrahs have a major tournament planned for the Tunica Horseshoe?

Others can answer this better than I but I am pretty sure that the event is so big, they actually split the tournament up between the three casinos you mentioned. I don't think any single casino in Tunica could handle it on their own.

The Grand, which is now owned by Harrah's has a very good physical situation for spreading tournaments (in case you haven't seen their tournament area). By spreading tournaments at Grand, Harrah's can now sever Gold Strike's stake in the event. The Horseshoe doesn't have and never had adequate space for larger tournaments.
