Going to NYC for the 1st time.

I'm staying 3 blocks from the south end of Central Park. I need something to do on a Thursday Night and Saturday night. I'd love to get into Conan and Saturday Night Live, but have no clue on what the best way to do it is? Any other must see places... I'd love to hear them. Thanks

I suspect Conan is during the daytime. I could be mistaken though.

You'll never see SNL so don't even try. Some people with tickets don't even get in.

Conan may have a stand-by line so you could try that. Also, if you're going out (bars, etc.), get out of midtown where you are staying. Go downtown.

Buy an unlimited Metrocard for however long you're here, ride the subways (buses are fun too), eat all the famous burgers and pizza, go shopping in Chinatown.
