Am I the only one that finds open-limping in MP completely unacceptable?

No, you aren't.

Open limping is underrated in my book. Tne blinds never fold in 15-30, you're just wasting money by raising because they'll play back at you no matter what.

The second best situation I can think of after winning the blinds, is the blinds calling with lesser hands while I have position. What I don't want is a raise or call behind me. Hence the open raise from MP, to lessen the likelihood of that happening. If it does, just take it from there.

I almost think it would make more sense to open limp 3 off the button with KQs rather than 10Qs. With KQ you wouldn't mind JQ,,K10,Q10,KJ to come along but you would knock them out with a raise and still not have much showdown value with KQ if you got heads up. Limping with 10Q just invites CO1, CO the small blind and button to come in with broadway hands that dominate yours while raising gets almost all out without a problem. This field probably isn't going to be that big, play for pair value don't try and build a field for your suited connector.
