Default huge pot river donk 50/100

How terriblly did i butcher this?

button is loose, not good. CO has been relatively aggressive against me today, although we don't have a substantial history or anything.

I hadn't been really out of line, and figured my cold call followed by a bet might look scary and get CO to muck overcards. I didn't have a chance to think about the Button before my hand clicked bet. I certainly didn't post the hand because I felt good about it...

He's representing a slow-played flush.

This hand makes no sense. A-K is the only hand you aren't beating against which a bluff might be successful, while you'll just lose another bet to all the others. Check-fold.

Ignore the trolls: I've made worse plays.

There are perhaps some game-dymanics that make this play work, but they aren't are going to be rare.

I'm sure you know this play is wrong, I suspect you want to know why. I'd label your decision here a 'pattern fold'. In other words, I don't pay attention to the pot - in fact I generally try to avoid doing so (often to my detriment). I suspect, judging by your inclusion of the pot size at each street, you've thought 'I've only got to be right 1 in 14(say)'. Suddenly the bet looks a whole lot more attractive, where it looked positively repulsive upon inspection of the hand. It's a bad bet, of that I'm sure, but it highlights the struggle I find when I mix playing by patterns, with playing by pots: they are two very different languages.

Yeah I definitely fold this river 100% of the time. The donk was a combination misclick/$100 joke i was telling myself/subconcious sadistic thought that it well confuse the hell out of those two.

yeah I really don't know how I bet the river, I certainly didn't think it was going to win me the pot. CO folded, BU called, and MHIG. So there's the punchline I guess.
