the wynn in las vegas is great no matter where you live .

and for my non-smart alec answer the only two places in shreveport are the horseshoe and hollywoood.

ive played both. when i played horseshoe it was its first week open so i cant really judge how the games will be at this point. room for room i like the hollywood room better now that they've redesigned it.

Not sure why this would be a joke?

If it is because of Katrina, you may be surprised that it didn't even rain in Shreveport when she came through.

Like the previous poster said you only have two choices for poker. Both are now adequate (the Hollywood used to be terrible). Both offer NL tournaments if thats your thing.
For limit games, 4-8 is the lowest limit you'll find at either. 2-5 NL is also popular. Some larger games sometimes startup on weekends.

I don't know what housing arangements you have, but I have been told that due to Katrina, people have been buying up houses around Shreveport/Bossier like crazy. There is probably very little (if anything) to rent. I have been hearing stories of 3 bedroom houses in Northeast Texas selling for 30-40 grand above the asking price.

I thought shreveport would be gone but I wasn't thinking how close it was to texas. I think hollywood is the only poker room in shreveport.

Wrong again lighterjobs.

As stated in two previous posts in this thread, both Hollywood and Horseshoe have poker rooms.
