Default New room in AC

Showboat is opening a poker room in AC. I don't know if this is old news to most of you (one of the dealers at the Borg told me yesterday) but I figured that some people might care. They're planning to have 50 tables. I don't know what limits they will spread.

That is all.

A dealer at the Bellagio -- I believe his name was Sky -- told me that he used to work in AC, and worked at the Showboat when they opened the first poker room in the city. I told him that I've been to the Showboat recently, and not only was there not a poker room, to the best of my knowledge, but there are also no table games any more (isn't it slots-only?).

In any case, this is good news -- I hear great things about the buffet. And if the Taj sucks, you could just scoot right over.

Do they have a timetable for this? Can anyone confirm if this is really true?

50 tables cannot possibly be right.

That's what I was told (the dealer was DJ if you know him or that matters).

I doubt they'll ever utilize that capacity since even the Borg never fills all its tables on weekdays.

Wouldn't 50 tables be nearly the size of the Taj?

Yea, it would be huge. I think the Borg has 35ish. I really don't know why they'd do it. Maybe they know something that we don't but it doesn't seem to make much sense.

Hard to believe the managers of a casino would make an uneducated decision that might hurt their business, huh?

50 Tables seems pretty big, should be nice if its true.
What's the expected number of tables at the new Borgata poker room opening in 06?
