Right now I have 5 dollars in a Pokerstars Account. I intend to play through every limit and make this bankroll grow so I can play through all the limits from .04/.08 to maybe 2/4 by the end of the school year(Hopefully). Right now I am playing .5/.10 limit Omaha 8B, mostly because I think my earn is the best, as opposed to holdem. Any thoughts? I just think this is a cool way to get better at poker. If people are interested, I could post weekly updates on how it goes. (I know this isnt interesting because its only 5 bucks, but the point is that I think I am good enough to run it up to a significant bankroll on a long enough time period.)

Technically you should have a bankroll of about $25 to play at $.04/.08 (more experienced guys correct me if the bankroll's different for Omaha)

I find 200BB to be pretty comfortable for omaha, seems to have less variance (no math to back it up though)

I think it is an excellent idea. Kind of wish I would have done something similar. This keeps it exciting...makes it a challenge, regardless of the amount.

Is there enough limit Omaha 8/B at PokerStars though to maintain a steady diet though? I can rarely get a game in Omaha.

There is lots of limit Omaha 8 on Stars, and i have decided to play .02/.04 until i think i can play .05/.1

I would not deposit until Jan 1. However, good fortunes smiled upon me as I won $20 in a friednly election bet. So I have started at .01/.02 NL holdem, and have worked up to $700 since then. I am at $.25/.50 now, should move up when I hit $1000. This is a good challenge I think.
