the only reason to have hobbies, money, etc. is to get girls.

[/ QUOTE ]

i think the piano playing thing could help in the girl department more than frisbee.

piano always helped me out...and I can only barely play piano.

meet the girls at frisbee...then show off your piano talents.

giving up on girls is just wrong.

well no girls play the pick up soccer games here, i can't make the school soccer team. i can play on the school's B frisbee team and make the A team at some point, there is a school girls team too. i've been playing more frisbee because it's more competitive on the team then the pick up soccer games, there are tournaments we'll go too, and the idea of being on a sports TEAM is cool.

A) One again, the dictionary says "an activity..." not "any activity...".

B) I'm not sure why you pointed me there. I've still never heard of any school frisbee team. I assume it's some kind of intramural thing?

Much better than Sponger's link. I hold this up as proof it's not a sport, however. Brown is ranked #1.

No I give up on girls. It is too depressing caring about getting a girlfriend and failing.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bruiser,

One thing that was a constant throughout my dating history was that whenever I wanted a girlfriend most, I never got one, and usually within two weeks of not caring about it and being content single, I'd start a new relationship.

Although you could attribute a variety of reasons to this, I think if you are comfortable in your own skin and not desperate (women can smell it), you are a much more attractive person. These hobbies are a good way to meet people to be sure, but more importantly, they make you more interesting. Just like your backpacking stories do.

Brown's ultimate team (at least a few years ago when I saw them last) was ridiculous. I'm pretty sure they get decent numbers of people who played ultimate in high school and for whom playing for Brown's team is a significant factor in choosing to go there.

Anybody who has seen a real, competitive game of ultimate would be hard pressed to say it's not a sport, unless of course they are just trying to bait us hippies.
