The typical party 1/2 player isn't going to do anything with trips until the turn. Realizing this has saved me so many bets...

Once it is heads up a call down is important. The pot isn't very big, but villains just love to raise/check raise trips on the turn in these situations. (obviously he can't check raise this hand, so maybe a fuse blew in his mind and he just raised the flop.)

But, the raise on the flop seems to indicate he just has a 6, and is raising now since he thinks his hand is best. In this case.

A. You have him out kicked and will win this hand most of the time.

B. He has you outkicked, you have 3 outs to a better hand, 2 4s to a split, and 2 6s to a split. You may also have invisible outs. You also have a backdoor flush draw here.

On the turn a black fell, you still have top frickin pair with a Decent kicker, your chances of winning unimproved combined with your chances to improve are enough to see the river.

I'd really like to check raise this river, but I think your call may have been a saner safer play.

Without reading any oppinions I would say everything looks fine, yet I would have either raised or check raised the river.

Too much of the time he will not show down a 4, even if he is loose, imo.
