Default Pretty Simple Sports Betting Question

Is Bodog any good? I just signed up for them.
Whats the best approach? Trying to bet the spreads? or taking the easy way out and doing the money line?

Like lets say I want to bet the steelers over the browns this weekend.

The Line is
Steelers -7
Browns +7

So if I bet the steelers they would have to win by more then 7 correct?

What If I want to take the money line. The steelers are at (-320) on the money line which is a multiplier of 1.31

Does that mean if I bet any amount on the steelers and they win I get what I bet x 1.31? or do they still have to cover the spread?

Thanks

If you bet the money-line (ML) there is no spread. For every $320 you bet on PIT you will win $100. You don't have to bet $320, but all wins will use the same ratio; i.e. 32:10, etc...

If you take PIT -7 they would have to win by more than 7 for you to win. If they win by exactly by 7, you will push. And if they win by less than 7 or lose, you will lose.

I hope this helps. I would read through the FAQ above also. There are a couple of good sites in there that could help you.

Bodog isn't the best place to bet favorites. They have good lines on underdogs for the most part.

The spread bet is a little better than the money line bet. I have the equivalent moneyline around -300.

BoDog is awful. If you start winning, they won't pay. One of my friends won a 10-1 parlay and they refuse to pay him.

I am not saying you are wrong, but I have never heard of them not paying. They deal two lines, they ban players, but from what I have heard, they have paid all their players. If you would like, you can PM me and I will give you my email address. I can probably help your friend out or see what had happened.

This is what i hate about bodog
1. The lines come out late
2. The lines are inflated (on the flipside this could work for you)
3. If the spread is 3 or less there is no moneyline

This is what i like about bodog.
1. I never had a problem with them not paying me.
2. Brook burke is hot!

In the FAQ above it mentions a couple of sites that you can view:

www.sportsbookpal.com
www.sportsbookreview.com

(Both sites have more than just reviews).
