Default TradeWars

Anyone interested in some good old Trade Wars? I'd say we need at least 15, preferably 25-30, people to play. We would also need someone with a static IP to host the game.

As a more likely alternative, Luzion found some existing servers, so would anyone like to form an OOT corporation in one of those games?

I used to own at this but it's really just turned into a script kiddy/bot game and doesn't really take any skill these days.

Wow. I cant believe you remember what the script was called. The game could get pretty tedious without twhelper if you played on a BBS with tons of turns, but I admit that it gave a pretty unfair advantage when you could map out all the sectors and trading posts and automate making money.

Anyway, Im still interested in playing the game for old times sake, so Ill check out the various servers and post up which are the ones that are worthwhile to play in. Hopefully there is one that reset the game recently.

telex/telemate scripts weren't too bad back in the day for just moving some collies etc. But yah twhelper etc and some sick zoc scripting + attac/swath etc just made it annoying and lame. I went back a couple of years after i quit and everyone was running teleport to kill scripts when figs were hit etc. MOst of them on 24 hours and never really at teh keyboard.

I used to play so much LORD and TradeWars back in the early nineties. I think I usually logged on to 10-12 BBSes every day to play both. Yeah, I was a dork, but this sure brings back some memories.
