What do gardens and fruit trees have to do with anything? I have a Orange tree. I don't think it makes people like me or my writing. Neither do I think that the oranges make me a better writer. Though they are tasty.

Speak for yourself; they're my favorite part of the magazine.

They've been kind of short lately, though.

I enjoy the TC articles and look forward to them each month. I rather enjoyed this exchange from this month's article:

[ QUOTE ]
"If the Chiba Lotte Marines win this, they win their first Pacific League pennant since 1974," explained TC, as they watched Tomoya Satozaki hit a two-run double to put the Marines in front in the eighth.

"I knew they would win. I should of bet on it," he whined.

"You didn't really know though," sighed Dave. "Even if you had an expert understanding of the sport, you would only have at most a small edge. Also, 'of' is not a verb."

I for one enjoy them.
They are entertaining and the occasional tidbits of strategy is always appreciated.
Keep up the good work Lori!

They are not useless, but they have gotten rather empty
the last couple months, IMHO.

Not everyone will enjoy every work of fiction, it is not your judgment that matters as far as whether or not it has value for the magazine.

On the other hand, I would like to see it move along at a better clip, or come to a conclusion. Perhaps someone else will write something entertaining?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would always prefer to see this kind of negative comment than that of the original poster. All comments are always welcome, but the second kind actually alert me to potential problems so that I can attempt to work them out.

Of course it will always be impossible to please everyone, especially as my humor can be very dry at times, but I would like to please as many as possible.

I thought the $2 joke was funny, but I agree with the second poster, in that there wasn't enough poker content in this one. I don't know man... FWIW I didn't even think Z's article was particularly enlightening either.

Again... I enjoy reading it, but I wish there was a bit more "shock and awe" in terms of poker content.

--Dave.

Edit: After looking at the Zee post in this forum... I kinda feel bad. Yeah, I did think "it does not rain plums" was hilarious... but... poker content please??!!

I've only been reading them for the last couple of months, and I've enjoyed them.

I'm a little frustrated by the 2+2 magazine policy of taking stuff offline, thereby preventing me from catching up on the earlier parts.

Much better than Max Shapiro's stuff in Card Player, IMO (which is the only thing I know of that is comparable.).

The table coach articles are actually one of the best things in the magazine.

The TC articles are fantastic. great satirical approach to express some sort of morals/ideas. Absolutely hilarious at times, while still keeping it's objective of portraying what the story aims to portray.

Agreed. Not all of you can expect to have articles that are 100% appreciated across the board like mine.

Your articles, well, meh, but this I like very much.

If you were flying in from outer space, my point lived in the US, and you landed in Russia.
