Default Flying with Chip Case

Has anyone had any problems travelling with an aluminum chip case full of metal-slug chips? I'm thinking they'll look kinda funky going through X-Ray and I don't want to end up in Gitmo.

It's an international flight, to boot (Canada).

Thanks!

Best to learn Arabic before you go... you'll need it.

Also, metal slug chips suck.

No sh1t, really? I suppose you'd bring the good ones on a flight and have them get confiscated? I'll bring my $40 Costco crap instead, and leave the Chipcos at home.

Anyone have any solid experience?

I saw some dude flying with a bunch of old coins and he was getting reemed by security. I couldn't imagine they are just going to let you slide through. I would definitely give myself a lot of extra time!

I've put my chips in my checked bag before with no problems. I do consistently see the DHS sticker and zip tie on my bag when I've retrieved it. I leave them right on top so the bag screeners have easy access.

I brought 200 chips in a case in my carry-on one time. I guess it looked suspicious going through x-ray (or they just couldn't figure out what it was). They unpacked the whole bag, looked at the chips, and it was fine. Only problem was that they didn't give a flying fvck how they repacked my bag, and couldn't even get it shut again. Assholes.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd prefer airport security give a second glance to a aluminum box full of weird metal filled discs. Sure it's easily explained but I want 'em askin' the question.

A friend of mine was stopped coming back from Vegas with WSOP souvenir chips. I guess these have the metal insert in them.

You'll definitely get checked by security. I took mine as a carry-on from Raleigh to Boston. Security guys were pretty cool with it though. All they did was open up the case and ask me where the game was.
