RESULTS
Sorry everyone, I didn't mean to keep you all in suspense. I just came back to check on my post and there were all these messages. Still nobody got it. Anyway, I check the river and he checks behind. So immediately I feel like I missed a bet and flip over my hand. And he flips over...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 88! Needless to say, this seemed practically impossible, given the 8 in my hand, the 8 on the board, the fact that he didn't reraise the flop, the fact that he didn't raise the turn, and the fact that he didn't bet the river when I checked. My first thought, well after yelling "How could you possibly have that hand?!?!" across the table, was "thanks for saving me $50. Anyway, thanks to everyone who participated in this discussion... |

This is great information for the future. Anyone who freezes like a deer in headlights with top set on a rainbow board is the kind of opponent you want.
Pop him a lot if it keeps him from betting his big hands, it will make it cheap for you to draw out on him. -Scott |
