Default Fishing? Live vs Online

I play online at stars(bodog a little), cash, sng, tournements and so far I've made the best money playing the .10/.20 NL tables with a small stack trying to move up but the competition gets harder fast. Then I go to vegas and play 1/2 NL and it seems like it's as easy or easier than the .1/.2 NL games and definitely easier that online at same limit. Has anybody else had this experience? Do people find live play looser than online?

Thanks,
Pete

If you can find the right casino, live games are incredibly profitable.

The casino I play at regularly is interesting, most people are intermediate on up, and it's funny to watch a total novice sit down and get dismantled by the entire table.

There is another casino about 40 miles away from me that is extremely loose. I remember seeing two players all in pre-flop with Q8 vs K6. This table was so loose it was frustrating since you could only really be happy calling/raising the constant pre-flop raises of 10xBB with QQ on upwards.

In general though, most NL cash games are much easier than the average 0.10/0.20 NL game.

I thought you were actually talking about fishing online. I can't say I'm not a little dissapointed.

I think it's a matter of online players being in better poker shape than live-only players, as they play everyone in various types of games.

When transitioning to live play, the online player only needs to work on his tells.

Online players are like the poker version of steroid monsters.

There really is no such thing as tells, and especially not at $1/$2 NL live. This should be the last thing that a player working on his game should be worried about, at the bottom of a long list of other skills including proper play, understanding the value of your hands, knowing how to properly calculate pot and implied odds, etc.
