Default Bubble with 88. What is the correct move?

This is a $5 + 0.5 buy in tournament.

Blinds are 100/200.

BB: 7000
SB: 1000
Button: 800
UTG: 6200

Button limps and you are the SB with 88. is this a push even if BB will call a good amount of the time?
I am a new player, sorry if the question is too obvious.

Yes, of course it is a push. Why wouldn't it be?

yes, its an easy push. The blinds are huge, and you have a damn good hand for this stage of the tournament.

i would only worry about what the button has (probably nothing) but god he's limping with 1/4 of his stack. anyway, push.

yes Button limp is weird. My read was BB would call this around 50% of the time and I thought I had to fold, but felt I was doing a bad move.
At what stack size would you Not push this.. or does not really matter? Im not sure about that kind of things too.

I don't find button limping at all weird. It's one of the most typical errors of low buy-in sng players to open limp with all kinds of hands from various positions.

If you think button calls only 50% of the time, folding is absolutely 100% horrible. They are probably limping with very mediocre hands and your 8's should be well ahead of their hand range.

88 is worth a push here with any stack size that doesn't allow a reasonable smaller raise.

Not button.. I say BB calls 50% or more - he is loose and has 7000 chips.

Yes, of course. Sorry 'bout that.

I still think it's a clear push. You can't pass such a huge +CEV just because of a probably <35% or so chance of busting out.

i really dont see why the BB would call this unless he has a really really good hand... because it looks almost certain that the button would call (or at least he should).
