Exposed hand

Clear this up for me if you will....

I was playing in a multi live tourney. 2500 in starting chips and the blinds were at 300-600. I'm in the BB with about 6k in chips left. 5 callers (3k in the pot).

Dealt Q9o. I check.

Flop: J 10c 8c

At this point I've got the nut and I'd be more than happy to take it down right there. Bet $1500. 1 raiser behind me to $3k. I move all in with the rest of my $5400. After a long time she calls and shows J 10o. Great....until the 10 turned!

I've replayed this in my head numerous times. I've thought I should have shown my hand following my all in.

Did I play it too slow? Could I have shown the nut (was it legal)? What do you think?
