Whats the deal with Parties hand histories??
Party Pokers hand histories are a lot different than what I am used to, and are only showing the high card of hands that called me down?
Is this the new and the way it is supposed to be? I don't like them. |

Re: Whats the deal with Parties hand histories??
They are messed up for me right now. They all have a bunch of extra stuff like
OldGirl folds # [Fold,Call(2),Raise(4)] okbkfd checks # [Fold,Check,Raise(2)] in them-- also only showing the hand they made, not the hand they had. Is that what you're getting? Didn't used to be like that. Live support, of course, said to email tech and I haven't heard back... it's been several hours. |

Re: Whats the deal with Parties hand histories??
It turns out that they've added that stuff as a "feature". It shows all the options available to each player on that turn.
It's supposed "to enable the players to have a clearer picture of what exactly happened in the hand, what options were available to each of the players, and what they finally chose." Ummm. OK. Seems like unnecessary clutter to me, but... as long as the games are good. |

It seems to me that anyone who might possibly be helped by this, probably wouldn't bother to order hand histories. For me they are worthless clutter that "break" my PokerTracker. More important is the lack of being able to determine the hole cards of a player that went to the showdown. Collusion is one of the biggest fears/problems with online poker, why would they want to make it more difficult for players to detect? |

Re: Whats the deal with Parties hand histories??
I think I've figured out what they're thinking. It looks like they are catering to the absolute first time player who needs to be prompted / reminded of his possible actions; the guy who tries to check when there is a bet to him and the dealer has to tell him he can only call, raise, or fold, not check. This is the same player who is likely to have to have it explained to him why his hand did not win when he was outkicked.
My bet would be that there has been a management shake up and the guy who made this decision is someone with a degree in computer science who has no experience at poker. That would seem to explain this excessive desire for unimportant detail while obscuring the truly important information. Other sites have gone by the wayside because they wouldn't provide called hand information. Others (TruePoker comes to mind) have heeded the advice of experts and continued on with success. They can add the unneeded text if they want, that just makes them harder to read, but if they insist on not showing called hands, I will be cashing out. |

Yes, we can certainly wade through the trash. but if they insist on not showing called hands, I will be cashing out. As will I. |

Re: Whats the deal with Parties hand histories??
Have you also noticed that the hand histories don't show any information when a player bets or raises? Currently it's just showing when a player checks or folds. I had not even noticed how it doesn't show both hole cards when a player goes to showdown. I don't see how this is more helpful?!?
BTW, for those users of Poker Tracker, if Party/Empire keeps this format I will be creating a patch but they have to get their hand histories fixed first. Pat |

Re: Whats the deal with Parties hand histories??
Just a semi-late update but the hand histories are working again. It took over 24 hours but the 4 requests I made all got processed. Everything seems to be back to normal....for now
