Default Question regarding World Cup betting and Vegas

Hi everyone:

With the World Cup Draw in Leipzig happening in a few hours, I was wondering how much action the Vegas sportsbooks take on the World Cup, and what the best sportsbooks in Vegas are for World Cup betting and for international soccer action in general. My guess would be that the opportunities certainly exist and may even start after the groups are finalized today, but that while they'd get steady action leading up to the tournament, they're not exactly going to be overrun. As opposed to, say, English and European bookmakers, who are going to experience a 6-month long crush the second the last ball is drawn out of the pot. Does anyone wager on the World Cup here, and if so, where in Vegas will take the action?

--Thanks, Scott

Incidentally, if anyone is interested in a synopsis of the draw and an intro to the 32 teams, here's a link: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns...up&cc=5901

I don't think you'll have any problems at finding action in Vegas. But certainly the online joints offer all sorts of soccer action, so if worse comes to worst, roll with one of those. But I'd think several Vegas joints will follow the lead of the online outfits.
