Re: Micro 6 max: A9s
I would play this one really really slow. UTG is drawing just about stone dead virtually always on this board. Try and drag his thin $$$ through. Perfect time to slowplay.

Re: Micro 6 max: A9s
I think check-raising is the best play on the flop
also for those who don't call preflop, what is the worst hand you do call? I think it's a great pf call. A9o I fold though |

Re: Micro 6 max: A9s
Without reads, I would 3-bet/call the river. A MP raise played like this is probably AA or AK-A2. You are ahead of 6 each of AQ-AT,A8-A2, you tie 4 A9's, and you're behind the 1 AA and 6 AK, so you are roughly 9-to-1 fav here. I really don't think 77 or 22 is likely, given his flop aggression. He might often have A7s or A2s and it hoping you have a good ace, or he may have a weak ace and is trying to buy the pot now.
I don't think there is a point in check-raising here. If you want to get more money in, then 3-bet, else you are just being weak. Plus he might check it through, and probably never folds a hand that beats you to the raise. New thoughts: Well, you might argue a C/R if you think that only hands that beat you will cap ... depends on the aggression. Anyway for this situation, you usually only want to check-raise a LAG. If villain was a TAG, then I would bet-call the river, to gain fold equity. If he's a rock, you might consider bet-fold, as long as you trusted your read. |
