Default Online Translators

I wondered how good those online translators were so I took an English sentence and translated it into Japanese, then did the same with the Japanese sentence it produced, and iterated a few times.

“Stick it up your bum” became “Your wanderer is in other things and the upper part which can permeate in an eye.”

You could turn it into a game where you have to identify the original sentence...

This is a well-known phenomenon.

Literal translation between languages is nearly impossible. I studied abroad this summer and saw some absolutely horrible ones. Translating "words" is easy, but translating "meaning" is much more difficult because differnt cultures express themselves in very different ways. Anyway, I'd have to agree with you that guessing the original sentance could produce a rather interesting game.
