SB isolation play - ok to give up after the turn?
Villain is LAGish - 40/16/1.3.
Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, CO calls. Flop: (5 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, CO calls. Turn: (3.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, CO bets, Hero folds. Final Pot: 4.50 BB Given that I raised to isolate out of the SB, I assume I should have bet the turn. I just figured give up entirely on putting any more money in on this hand as I could easily be behind or bluffed off mine pretty easily. Is this just too weak? if you do bet the turn, are you auto-folding to a raise? (hope this is not incredibly standard) |

I think you need to bet this turn. he is likely calling the flop with a very wide range wich is correct if you easily c/f the turn

I bet the turn, fold to a raise, and probably c/f the river like a girly-man.

you have to bet the turn... you can easily have the best hand there... pretty easy fold if raised.. if called, re-evaluate on river... if the river is harmless, sometimes i check-call, sometimes i check-fold.. depends on the player, table, my image, etc.
