Default Hotel Review - Luxor?

This question is based purely on the hotel, not the casino/card room.

Is the Luxor a good place to stay? Im planning a trip for my brother and I to meet out there and we'll play at the Bellagio or Mirage, but can get a much better rate at Luxor. Is it worth saving the $50/night over the Mirage or $200 over Bellagio?

I'd say no based on location alone. Unless you like paying for $20 cab rides.

How far of a walk is it from Luxor to Bellagio? From the map it looks like about 1.25 miles or so?

The rooms are just OK, not bad, just OK. The hotel has a good selection of restaurants and it's pretty nice. You can walk through to the Mandalay Bay which is really nice. However, you're down at the far end of the strip, though, so if you don't have a car you'll be cabbing to the Mirage and Bellagio.

Hotel it self is nice , its near Excal, Trop and Mandalay.
I'd stay at the Mirage if you plan to play there. You'll pay for it i cab rides. You can also try to get rated or a one night comp there anything to help offset that would make up for the diffrenece + cab fair you'd spend.

It's probably closer to 2 miles, from a random room at the Luxor to the poker room at Bellagio.

Cool - thanks for the input. Luckily I have some time to wait on deals to pop up.

If you are just playing strictly low limit, go ahead and stay at Luxor and play at Luxor, Excalibur, Tropicana, Mandalay Bay and MGM.

If you want to play $6-12 and higher then stay at Mirage. It is an easy walk from Mirage to Bellagio. Just watch your wallet as the crowds on LV BL can be thick.

You could also try staying at the Imperial Palace. Crumby hotel with a great location and a soft donking room after you are done with your higher low limit play.
