Re: who gets to play Adam in the movie?
[ QUOTE ]
Good choice. What about Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite?) Maybe something like this... *Adam checks his hole cards after the river* "Flippin' sweet." The jackass goes all-in. Adam: "All-in? You guys are retarded! Gosh! I call!" After the laydown..."What the crap? I was playing killer poker for like three days! Are you guys tryin' to ruin my life and make me look like a friggin' idiot?" Later, at that casino. Random guy "So Adam, how'd you do at the WSOP again?" Adam: "I told you. I spent it playing with Sam Farha." Guy: "Did you beat him in a pot?" Adam: "Yes! He asked me for my autograph and about my awesome poker skills." Guy: "How'd you beat him?" Adam: "A frickin' reraise. What do you think?" [/ QUOTE ] POTY |

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like he called a flop raise of 20K when the pot was about 25K with nothing but a flush draw. I have a hard time believing he played perfect poker all day. |

Re: The dude who cried when his K high flush lost
From what I understand, on the river, Bartholomew bet $50k, Friedman raised to $100,000 and Bartholomew moved all in. If Bartholomew DIDN'T have the nut flush when Friedman raised, he would have to suspect Friedman had it.
Also, why would Friedman make the minimum raise instead of go all in? Oen reason to make the minimum raise is so that if someone moves all in, you can lay the hand down confident you are beat. I don't agree with those posters in this thread who claim it was an obvious call of the all-in with the second nuts. Like Phil Ivey says in his commercial, sometimes you just know you're beat and have to lay it down. This was one of those times, albeit a tough laydown given what is riding on the outcome. What if Friedman did have the best hand with his king high flush and had folded to the all-in? To cite Phil Hellmuth's book Play Poker Like the Pros (which everyone on this website likes to trash): if you can't allow yourself to fold the best hand, then you can't win. |

Re: The dude who cried when his K high flush lost
i have even less respect for the kid now. when he was at the feature table it was pretty evident that he was full of himself. Phrases like, "Im the only 23 year old who actually thought I could win this tournament," and the other time when Matusow is dissing him and he said, "You wish you were half as good as I am when you were my age." This punk definately deserves whats coming to him, and he also cried a 2nd time when he got knocked out for good.

Re: The dude who cried when his K high flush lost
I think the best part overall was when Matusow taunted him about it the next day at the feature table and puckered his lips and kinda blew him a kiss LOL. I had a good laugh at that one. He just says whats on his mind, and that's why a lot of people don't like him I'm sure. But that's the reason why I like him. Just says how it is and how he feels. Sometimes it does go overboard, but meh, overall I find him great
