I refused to use them until I absolutely had to. My roommate had the same aversion. The first time they opened then immediately closed my account and told me to call xxx-xxx-xxxx and give them my SSN and sort out problems. THat was creepy and I even looked up the number, and it turned out to be the US dept. of social security. Go figure.

Anyway, opening an account was a huge hassle but I'm pretty happy with them now. Having given PP, FirePay, and PayPal my bank information (not to mention ING, my job, and several of the companies I get bills from), I'm most confident (except for my job) in NT to not mess it up, from the way it's been handled.

but yeah, I'd never blame anyone from getting the willies and swearing off NETeller.

I've been using them for a few months (I've just been playing at the casino until recently). I was very nervous about transfering money there so opened a separate bank account which someone else suggested too. Service has been great and very convenient.

Anyone have a Neteller bank card? Are they worth it?

By the way, I've had Neteller for 2 years and processed countless transactions without a single complaint.

I 've been using neteller for over a year and they have been much better than paypal. Very fast and reliable transfers with no fees.

I find it pretty usefull. You just don't want to leave money on the card if you don't use it too often so you don't get hit with the service fees.

Getting in late to add my experience:

Neteller's worked fine for me, except for the card. It only works in a couple of ATM's that I've found; not nearly all that are marked as Cirrus or Maestro compatible.

I found this thread because I wanted to check out how reliable the service was when registering a bank account, and from what I've seen here, that seems pretty solid.

Had the same reservations that most here had. Just to be safe I keep just what need for bills in my checking, but besides the fee I've got no complaints about Neteller

Does anyone else feel sketched-out when using Neteller?

Maybe its the overseas thing that bothers me...?

In spite of that a$$ kicking we gave them over 200 years ago they seem to hold no grudges.

- They are a British firm. I could see if they were in some 3rd world lost world like, um Gibraltar but the Brits have a good track record with stuff like this.

Default 8.9%

is for instacash. (See: funding for compulsive gamblers).

Plan a little in advance an there are no (as in ZERO) charges EVER.

BTW, if you must use instacash, PARTY is the only [gaming] site I've seen that does not absorb/refund the 8.9%, which leads to my next point.

Party may not be rigged but they do SUCK !
