MMMMMMM,
wanted to find a link for you and searched through all the mobile systems manufacturers. But then I decided to check Wikipedia [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img], and there was a link there which explains why it is possible (without mentioning it). Look at this chart and remember that the initial channel request and number sending etc. coming from the phone can be manipulated (somebody else representing the unit), and thus the call can be established without the subscriber's knowledge.

I know they have a workaround, but I am not totally sure how (if they skip this part of the procedure or alters the phone's software).
