So the maniac calls with a ok hand, but never raises it seems from your original post. If he called after the flop you figure he's got a low pair and doesnt have you beat. After the turn the queen came and you raised and he came over the top of you. That should have been a warning sign that he had something on the flop so he called and the queen helped his hand.
