Assuming the one EP player is the only limper, I raise preflop to knock out as many players as possible since there aren't a lot of callers to give you the odds you need to hit trips (or quads) equity and want to drive players out to increase your chances of having top-pair. It plays differently from there.

With the quads, I'd slowplay the flop, then raise the turn. It's dependent on your read of how much you think a raise will increase the odds they'll fold instead of call on the next street.
