Default More help with Inspiron 9300

I just got my 9300 with the 17" WUXGA display today. When I open party, empire tables there is an inch or so of black space on the right and bottom sides of the windows. It seems the clients arent running right at 1920x1200. I have the 128mb video card. Anyone else run into a problem like this or know how I can fix it?

make sure DPI setting is 96 (normal size)

You can get there by going to:
Display Properties -> Settings -> Advanced

This should solve this issue.

PokerOpus, how do you like the 9300? I was thinking of getting one but I keep reading about the 'sparkling' effect of these with the UXGA screens, and that some people really can't stand it. Are you having any problems? Can others comment on this if they have a 9300? Thanks.

I just got mine yesterday. The display is gorgeous - I haven't seen anything resembling sparkling at all. My only complaint after 4 tabling on it last night was the 50BB I was stuck at $2/$4, but I hardly think that's the computer's fault.

As far as the sparkling goes, if you have no problem with the 2001fp, you won't mind the display of the 9300. It's the same sparkle on both.

My 9300 is incredible. I did need to adjust the color a bit but it's now perfect. Overall you can't get a better notebook for the price.

Thanks for the replies! I think I'll order one once I get a good coupon (the current ones have expired). There's a return policy in case I'm not satisfied.
