He definitely received some criticism regarding his limit-game strategy.

Some have accused him of being too weak-tight at times.


I played a limit game with him about a year ago and I believe he limped UTG with AK or AQ as I recall.
I even sent him a PM asking why he did that and he explained that he had been experimenting with that play some.

He certainly thinks about the game...but some of his ideas went a little against some of the more aggressive strategies that many 2+2'ers believe in.

His journal is probably the biggest reason that we now have thousands of semiprofessional and professional players who multitable the internet games. When he first starting writing about it, there were only a few people doing this.

In early 2003, he was absolutely destroying the Party 3/6 games while playing a very weak/tight strategy. Of course, the games have gotten much tougher at all limits since then.

Apprently you underestimate the value of being able to make TWO straight flushes!

He mutli-tables the Party 15/30 still. I play with him a lot. He's still weak tight. I haven't seen any bad cold-calls, but he doesn't get enough value from his good hands, doesn't protect his vulnerable hands, and calls down too light sometimes.

The table averages in the evenings have dropped 50 percent from that time period. I remember seeing plenty of 50+tables now it's one tilted whacko table with a waiting list 10 deep.......
