Re: 55
No, it's an ace who would call hoping to split 75-80% of time i believe.

Re: 55
i hate betting the river here in a live 30/60 game... take the free showdown. i dont think its even close to being close.

Re: 55
I'm sickened that people question the preflop limp. But what about folding the flop?

I would fold the flop every time here. I thought it was standard...

I would fold the flop every time here. I thought it was standard... [/ QUOTE ] Standard for weak-tighties overdosing on Haldol maybe. It's hard to imagine a better board for 55 that doesn't include a '5' or a '234.' If you're going to fold this on the flop you should play it only on the button after four limpers. This hand was perfectly played until the river, where OP has an easy value bet. That doesn't mean he's definitely going to win, it just means he's going to win much more than half the time. Results? Re: 55
UTG's range is pretty narrow here...A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]x[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (7 combos) and 55-88 (14 combos) I think...why should we bet the river?

[/ QUOTE ] Good point. But I still think this is a must bet, because he's also calling along with overcards that don't happen to be both hearts, and one of them is likely to be an Ace. Also he's calling along with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] x [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] too maybe, and might call. I think basically that people don't go broke overestimating the size of the range of hands opponents will call with heads-up. But I guess your analysis has some merit..... JimmyV |
