Default Short-handed games

Hi

I have just been on absolute and noticed that there are hardly any full ring games and then I went onto party and realised just how many of these 6 player tables there is on there to, so my question is why do people choose a short-handed game over a full ring game, other than say to clear a bonus?

Thanks in advance
