Default Was this a good fold?

home game .50BB no limit. 8 player table. 5 players in, i'm in the BB($25) with Jh9h. all limped to me i limped. flop is J9Q rainbow. SB raises to $2, i raise to $5. next player raises all-in which is more than my stack and all players fold to me, i fold.

could i have played different, someone at the table told me to raise pre-flop with it. i wasn't so sure about that, i thought i made the right decision to limp and fold. i could have lost to nut straight or top 2pair.
