Default LO8 Questions Involving PTO

I haven't seen anyone post any stats here so I'm curious if I'm roughly along the right path. I've played a couple thousand hands now so I can pretty much tell how many hands I'm palying. I seem to have leveled out around a 26 VPIP and 7 PFR. is that ok? my postflop aggression is 1.1

the thing I don't get is my SD in bb/100 is 17. for LHE it's around 18. isn't omaha supposed to have much less variance? am I pushing my hands too hard? if any decent LO8 player could send me his stats, I'd be very appreciative.

This forum is pretty barren when it comes to PTO stats, which is odd considering PTH. I'll post some when I get home - hopefully others can too.

Anyway, 26 VP$IP seems a bit loose. Offhand I think this is more in line with my 6-max play than full ring. VP$IP in O/8 isn't all that different from LHE, ~18-22. Some argue you play even less hands, which is certainly valid in the more tight-aggressive 10/20 - 20/40 games.

When PTO first came out, there were several threads comparing stats...

Good stuff here
More good stuff and links to further good stuff inside this thread.

Also, o8poker.com has a some good discussion on the different stats within PTO. Finally, check out L0QTiS's Autorate rules debate for PokerTracker Omaha thread that started PTO stats analysis.

I have to agree with Sy on this one.

I would bet that if you are coming up with a VPIP of 26 then you are probably playing just a couple too many hands from the small blind.

I have a VPIP of 24%
Won money at showdown of 67% (I would like this higher.)

I'll look at the rest of my stats and post them if it will help someone.

I could be wrong, but your PFR seems a bit high. And as a couple books have stated, raising before the flop slightly increases your profit but greatly increases your variance.

Yeah it is too high for limit. One of the other boys would have a better idea about the PLO numbers.

I didn't know CDC played O8. I thought you where just a high limit HE specialist.

Going broke in several games is much more fun than going broke in HE only.
