Biloxi Circuit Tournament
I hate to bring this up at such a sensitive time but is anyone aware of what they are doing with the Biloxi Circuit event starting Sept. 29th? Are they moving or scrubing it?
Any knowledge would be helpful i was planning to play in 2 event. |

Re: Biloxi Circuit Tournament
If they turn it into a semi-charity event (to aid Katrina victims), it would generate a lot of entries...and make a difference too! Not to mention, give poker a good name.

[/ QUOTE ] That would be nice but the Casino is a total loss, It will be a at least year probably much more before they will be able to open another Grand down there, in fact from what I saw of video footage all the casinos are gone. Re: Biloxi Circuit Tournament
Possible, but certainly not practical. If they're going to throw up a metal shed in the middle of the hurricane zone, I'd rather see it house those who lost their homes than a poker tournament.

Re: Biloxi Circuit Tournament
I heard Mississippi recently changed their gambling laws to allow land only casinos. I'm sure they won't put the barges back out there after this hurricane.

Re: Biloxi Circuit Tournament
my guess would be that it's scrapped completely.
I don't see much reason to move it and hold it somewhere else. Conceiveably they could hold it in Tunica I guess...but they just had one...and they have another one coming up in January. But it's my understanding that the casinos themselves also play a role in asking whether they can host an event or not (or something like that). If they aren't hosting an event already then they probably weren't interested in hosting on in the first place. In other words, I'm not so sure it's as simple as the Harrah's corporation just telling some othr property "Here...YOU host it instead." |
