Default Party\'s check rejected by bank

I recently cashed out 1K from Party and received a check in the mail, which I attempted to deposit into NetBank, my online bank. The check was from Party's "marketing" company in FL (I forget the name) and it had "Chase" written on the front. The check was rejected by Netbank.

When I called them (Netbank), I was told they couldn't accept the check because it was drawn on a line of credit from a credit card, and it's their policy not to accept LOC checks.

Prior to this incident, I received a check from Party (same "marketing" co.) for a similar amount that had "Fleet" written on the front. This
deposit was accepted by Netbank as it apparently came from a regular bank account.

NetBank is returning the LOC check to me, which I will then attempt to deposit into a different account.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I have not had this experience, but I felt the need to comment. This is ingenious on Party's part as far as obfuscating the paper trail...

For those like me who just went HUH???

1 definition found for obfuscating

From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913) :

Obfuscate \Ob*fus"cate\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Obfuscated; p.
pr. & vb. n. Obfuscating.]
To darken; to obscure; to becloud; hence, to confuse; to bewilder.

His head, like a smokejack, the funnel unswept, and the ideas whirling round and round about in it, all obfuscated and darkened over with fuliginous matter.
--Sterne.

Clouds of passion which might obfuscate the intellects of meaner females.
--Sir. W. Scott.
