Default MY home game setup

Just thought I would post my home game setup for opinions.
WE don't have rebuys or add ons and we setup the game with input from all.

T140
10 whites $1 each
10 reds $5 each
4 Blues $20 each

blinds
1,2
2,4
5,10
10,20
20,40
and so on.

Our blind levels are 20 minutes apart, and when down to 3 players 15 minutes, and down to 2 10 minutes.
The tournement was set up to play 3 or 4 times anight and make it fast so players out early don't have to wait too long.

Ugh, that IS fast. Less than 14 BB after 40 minutes, when I've seen at MOST 18-20 hands?
Hey, if it works for you.... How long do they usually last (I'm guessing 80 minutes)?

Some guys wanted it faster, we came to this setup. It usually takes about 90 minutes max, no longer. Problem is the waiting time for players beat out in between games. Its a real social affair, lots of booze and so on.

I recommend coming up with a cash game format for guys to play on the side as they wait for tourney#2 to get going.

I used to do 2 tourneys a night too, but the quality of play sucked because the people knocked out of the first one put pressure on the remaining players to get the second one started. Now we only do one T150 tourney with a really slow blind schedule, and it lasts for about 5 hours:

Small Big
1 2
2 4
3 6
4 8
5 10
6 12
8 16
10 20
15 30
20 40
30 60
40 80
50 100
100 200
200 400

I really like the slow schedule as it allows for more skill and less bingo.
