All I need to do is replace the needle, and I'm sure that'll be easy enough. Oh, what's that thing you put down between the LP and the actualy player, the one that's soft, fuzzy, and I assume stops the vinyl from getting scratched. Thanks.

Its not always easy to find new needles for old decks... but good luck. Slip mats only work for anything if the platter is metal.
