Default Interesting JJ

BB is 59/16 LAG but not too bad postflop (although likes to bluff with big bets - seen him bet $20 into a $10 pot on AKQT board with K3 . . . only to get called by two guys with jacks.) No read on MP2.

The whole mess started when I misclicked a min-raised before I could enter the amount I really wanted to raise. Damn.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.25 BB (9 handed) converter

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

SB ($39.70)
<font color="#C00000">BB ($51.65)</font>
UTG ($6.90)
Hero ($50.35)
MP1 ($17.45)
<font color="#C00000">MP2 ($10.30)</font>
MP3 ($28.30)
CO ($25.75)
Button ($25.65)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.5</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP2 calls $0.50, MP3 calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, BB calls $0.25.

Flop: ($2.60) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets $2.6</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $7</font>

Good raise? Why? Why not?

<font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $9.80 (all-in) </font>, MP3 folds, CO folds, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $39</font>, Hero . . . ?

Of course, the mis-click is where you went into the [censored]. I like the raise on the flop. There are alot of draws and alot of players to the flop, and if you call, you might give players left to act odds to chase. Also, you lose value from any middle pair who is likely to call. Plus any A K Q is very bad news for you, especially if there are alot of players to the turn. Isolating BB is fine, since you'll have position for the rest of the hand. Infact, calling would be horrible IMO.

I fold to his big re-raise. The fact that he makes it $39 instead of pushing indicates he wants a call.

against someone whos been making crazy big bets with marginal hands I'm calling if he's hes flopped a straight or set bad luck. Enough of the time he's going to show A5 45 66 44 or a flush draw etc , etc...

I would fold , BB is the scary part here , he could hold two pair , set or a straight.I think it is a hue bet for your hand imho.

Sure your mini-raise may make your opponents under estimate your hand, but you need to lay this one down. Your LAG has led into you and then moved all-in after you shown strength plus after a shortstack moved it.

That was my thinking, essentially. I figured that I had a decent shot against BB, but I thought I MUST be behind the short stack who had just pushed after a bet for the pot and then a raise. He MUST be beating JJ, right? So, if I folded there was no harm done (I even saved $2) in the main pot, and JJ on this flop wasn't the hand I wanted to try for the LAGs stack with.

The short stack took the main pot with KK while dodging a bullet: The LAGgy BB had 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9:heart for a MONSTER draw.

easy flop raise to protect your hand.

easy fold to the reraise since you dont really want to play for your 200bb stack with just one pair
