Default TP/flush draw: did I play it right?

First hand at the table. Nobody looks familiar.

Advice on all streets, please.

.25/.50, 8-handed, MP3 (me) posts .25

Preflop: marchron is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, marchron checks, CO folds, BT calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (7 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (7 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, marchron raises, BT calls, SB calls, BB folds, UTG folds, MP1 calls.

Did I get the SSHE lesson right? Raise with this so my top-pair-blah-kicker might hold up if the flush doesn't come?

Turn: (8 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, MP1 checks, marchron bets, BT calls, SB folds, MP1 folds.

Take the free card?

River: (10 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
marchron bets, BT raises, marchron calls.

Three-bet? Nut flush is a possibility.

Final Pot: 13.5 BB (after rake)

Immediately 3-bet that river.

Flop is fine. I'd go to war and cap if I could.

Turn is fine. You can't take a free card if you don't have the button. You wouldn't want to anyway with top pair you still have a decent chance of having the best hand.

3-bet the river and call a cap, you're ahead of many hands he is raising here. Getting capped sucks but at .25/.50 it could be a set or two pair.

River: 3-bet and call if he caps. There are only 3 spades on the board. He might have a made a flush, but the odds of him holding AsXs are slim.

I would fold this pre-flop off the blinds.

I like it until the river. Raising to protect your hand and with an almost 50% chance to hit the second nut flush by the river seems sound to me.

Turn I wouldn't take the free card. You might buy the button, and your still in decent shape, tho I might take a free showdown if UI on the river.

River I would definatly 3 bet, worrieing about an Axs hear is playing way to scared imho. I would even cap this if there were a bunch of ppl in. Especialy at this lvl most of the players out there get very carried away with any flush that connects. If you had 78s or something I would robably call down, but you don't, so raise. Flop is good.

Turn bet is good.

I insta-3bet the river.

I also bet if the flush doesn't come in (for above poster).
