I think i messed this one pretty bad, probably didn't bet enough on the flop, I'm lost as what to do on the turn. I saw villian bet off his whole stack just a few hands prior with 9-10 high so I'm thinking he could have anything at this point. please help!

the way you played it, I bet a bit more on the flop and push the turn.

if UTG+1 limp called AQ, oh well, I can't get away from it.

I figured 3 limped and my standard raise is typically $3 or 4 so $7 or $8 raise here. u think that is too much?

In the SB with a big drawing hand I don't think that this is a terrible raise. He is going to be acting first every round and you do have a drawing hand, so he would not mind winning the pot right here.

What makes this really, really tough is that fact that he has so many friggin' callers behind him - that is unreal. The big problem that I have found in these situations is that the callers of these big bets are usually pocket pairs, suited Aces, or big suited connectors - and with this many callers, there is a definite chance that someone here hits a set or has the flush draw - the problem is that you do not know which, so when you lead out with a sub-pot bet a flat call could be a flush draw or a set just letting you build his pot.

I think that the chances that the villain has a set are small, since he checks the turn and then shoves the river when the flush hits. Also, I don't think two pair are likely for the same reason. In any event both of these hands beat you.

I think that you are up against a stone bluff or a big flush. Without a real read on the Villain I have to drop this. You are basically getting 2:1 odds and I don't see the bluff possibility being enough to make a call a +EV play.

If you were trying to induce a bluff, congratulations.

Like you said, he could have anything. You are getting 2:1 on your call, and beat most of that range [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I already brought up AQ. If you bet a bit more on the flop, I think you can eliminate KJ.

since you raised so much preflop, its hard to keep the pot small. I suppose you can check behind on the flop and rep AA or QQ so it doesn't define your hand nor does it define his hand.

just fold. Next time pot the flop and push the turn. You lose, so be it.
