If you know your table well I don't mind your preflop play. If you're going to raise so big, your goal is to isolate a player heads up, that way even if the flop misses you, you can throw out a continuation bet and hope to take it down right there. The decision to play the hand fast/slow was made preflop when you raised to $8, therefore like everyone else said... at least pot the flop.
