I grimaced when they put out the casting call for this......wondering what kind of 'characters' they'd pick to represent both city's.

The producers did the predictable......'lowest-common-denominator' stereotype caricatures of both Boston and NYC mostly.

TV never dissappoints, does it?

Was it Menken that once said....."you'll never go broke underestimating the American public"?

and Zaxx, I see that you're still offering your opinion as if someone on this site gives a rats arse about what you think......

Default Is Evelyn Ng still dating that dork?

Adam Schoenfeld should talk as little as possible while on TV.

Default That \"obese slob\"

has been the most feared offensive coordinator in the NFL for the at least the last 3 years. But I doubt I'll get much of a retraction from you once Weis turns things around out in South Bend.

And yes, ND is pretty damn good in every varsity sport it maintains.

Not surprisingly, you don't reveal your own allegiance.

GO BUCKEYES

Its THE Ohio St. Univeristy to you...

And lets see if you can remember the score last time ND and Ohio St. played.

Not trying to be redundant but if he was such a good candidate why was he the 178th choice for the position?

ND will get nothing and like it.

The real problem with ND is that it just doesnt have the recruiting draw it once did. Since future recruits now will not even be old enough to remember the Lou Holtz glory years I dont see how this is an easy fix.

Other recruiting roadblocks are also inherent...

e.g.

If you are a black kid from Fla. and visit ND are you gonna generally feel like you "fit in" with the campus life there.

Turns things around? Seriously, a low end bowl birth should be a thrill for the ND establishment since as has been stated it is not a recruiting draw anymore. The college football landscape has changed with more and more big time programs coming out, pretty much everyone being on TV and having lower academic standards than ND.

Plus firing Ty so quickly wasn't the best message to black recruits.
