also notice that waiting for the turn isnt always to protect you hand. For example: Youre in late position and you assume the the EP aggressor will not bet into you again if you raise now. Then just call and raise the turn...
However, you cant protect your hand in this situation even if you wait for the turn!

Thanks for the scolding [img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]. (Not sarcastic, I am trying to learn here.) I reread the section.

Let me try this out. Even you if don't raise the flop and it gets called around, and SB bets on fourth, it will be 15.5 big bets when it comes to Hero. So even if Hero raises, the people behind him are getting 8:1 plus implied odds on a draw since you don't expect folds on the river in a pot this large.

When you bet this hand on the flop (fourth, river) for value, what is your estimate of pot equity and how do you estimate it? I assume it is this equity that makes not raising the flop a major leak.
