Default I know why I\'ve run like crap this month...

It's not all bad luck, there is much bad play.

Basically, I've turned into a pansy at the $10/20 game and that's not a winning strategy.

I'm finding folds that I shouldn't. I've been pushed off so many hands HU to raises when I know it's wrong, but I try to convince myself they must have something because "a reasonable range for this player" doesn't include enough hands that I beat.

I'm totally underestimating the retard factor in these games.

I'm checking too many turns, calling too many rivers as a result.

My overall aggression has dropped. I've tightened up too much.

I'm becoming the guys I used to walk all over at this game, rather than running people over myself.

All in all, I've tried to become more TAGish, abandoning my LAG roots that got me here.

I miss being 30/22 with 3.2/2.5/1.5 aggression by street, 40WTSD and 50 W$SD.

That's the style that worked for me. I know it doesn't work for everyone.

And I know I'm going to overdo while I try to get back into that mindset. But I know I'll become a better player because of it.

Ironically, it was playing the LAG style I enjoy and running well that got me to think about changing my game. I figured no one can run as well as I did playing that way. I started looking for leaks that weren't there.

Basically, I took changing my game TOO far and went too much in the opposite direction. I turned into Jason_T preflop and that's not me.

It's balancing time. I know I was too loose and aggro before, but I've moved too far the other way now.

It's going to take a lot of work, but I'm committed to ensuring that I'm a long term 3bb/100 winner at this game no matter what it takes... and loosening and aggroing up is what it takes.

Heh. I'm interested to take a deeper look at my stats when I get a chance.

I get the funny feeling that all of the folds I got people to make by being a LAG actually reduced my variance as I didn't need to hit cards like I did as a TAG.

That could be complete crap though for all I know. Seems that way sometimes though.

That works for me at 3/6. After only 12k hands, I'm 27.4/18, with 3.3/3.1/1.7 (do need to calm down on the turn a bit) and 37/52 WTSD/W$SD. 3.02BB/100 hands. Either I'm running good or doing something right.

Wanna know what I've learned?

12k hands means absolutely nothing.

I don't think this style works as well at $3/6.

another thing i have come to realize is that i seem to play tons better when i am not trying to have the right stats or play a certain style. i play well when i just analyze each situation and make my decision based on sound poker play.

But 20.5K hands of "running bad" means something about your game? ("I know why I've run like crap this month")
