start at 1/2. move up when you reach +50bb for each level, drop down when you are -25bb. see how far you get in 20k hands.

No...

start at .5/1, move up every 50bb. if you lose more than 25 bb at a limit, you should move down but don't have to (my own rule). if you end up in the red overall you must go back to .5/1. there is no time or hand limit. goal is to get to IP 150/300 pound

JBB thinks you've lost your mind.

[/ QUOTE ] why?

I feel much less guilty aboutposting OT crap here than in SS

I have to poop.

[/ QUOTE ]

The return of the avatar, the nonchalant exam flunking, the roll disintegration, the multiple personalities, the fact that he's a girl.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'll deal with these one at a time:
1. Avatar- returned by popular request
2. Exam flunking- been doing that for a while
3. Roll Disintigration- has nothing to do with me losing my mind, just playing/running bad
4. Multiple Personalities- I AM BOB CIAFFONE, YOU WILL DO WHAT I SAY

other possible reasons: I've played 3000 hands of online poker in the last ~75 days and I played .5/1 and 1/2 yesterday

My $.50/$1 report...

[ QUOTE ]
Finished up the first level in about 3 hours, 20 minutes this morning 4-tabling. My oh my, did I NOT need a thread filled with comments on how to play .5/1 laggy. I'm wondering how well I'll adjust to 1/2 max, 2/4, and 3/6. I've been mostly treading water at 2/4 and 3/6 ever since I moved up to them a couple months back, so I'm not sure if I need to be looser or less aggressive (trust me, I don't need to be MORE aggressive). We'll see when I get there, I suppose.

Stats
Total Hands: 737
Amount Won: $58.24
BB/100: 7.9
VPIP: 25.64%
PFR: 13.57%
Aggression Factor: Flop - 5, Turn - 3.3, River - 2.69, Total - 3.8

My $1/$2 (6-max) report...

[ QUOTE ]
Finished up the second level in about 3 hours, 20 minutes (same as $.50/$1) this afternoon 4-tabling. I've only played maybe 3000 hands of $1/$2 6-max before, and felt comfortable there (mostly because it seems to suit my straightforward, aggro style). I went on a good run early but stalled out for awhile, and eventually dropped back to only +20 BB before finally going on another run. I stopped, thinking I was at the 50 BB mark, and then discovered I was $.75 short, so I popped two tables back open to make it official. Worth it as I hit trip 9s and got paid off.

Stats
Total Hands: 940
Amount Won: $123.50
BB/100: 6.57
VPIP: 28.94%
PFR: 16.60%
Aggression Factor: Flop - 6.2, Turn - 4.33, River - 3.71, Total - 4.8

[/ QUOTE ]

I'll continue posting short updates and a hand or two in the thread, but will be blogging about it a bit more indepth on my new poker blog, just another LAG.

Good luck all. I've got a thing that needs to be done in 3 hours so taking a break from poker to finish that up by deadline.

I never cited #3. You didn't emphasize 4 enough. I never thought 1 might be a reason, but looking back I think it may be. You also omitted 5. The Haikus. Also, expanding on 4, not only the multiple personalities, but the fact that the multiple personalities argue with each other. In conclusion, Dave is a huge praaaaag. What up PRAGE!

Default Two Four here I come.

I have not been in a good state of mind to play lately and have been tilting a lot and having a lot of mediocre results. This challenge has come along at a good time for me. Thanks Sthief for the inspiration.

Results so far:

.5/1 2970h +103bb 3.48bb/100

This includes a revisit after a disasterous first shot at 1/2 short.

1/2 short 557h +25bb 4.37bb/100

I pondered whether to actually achieve 50 bb for each level or forge ahead based on aggregate results.

Onward

Finally finished at Party 1/2. I don't know what possessed me to waste so much time at the full tables there.

Total Hands: 458 (380 6max)
VPIP: 30.79
PFR: 13.32
Att to steal blinds: 22.03%
Won $ WSF: 34.27%
Won at SD: 51.95%
$ won: $100.75
BB/100: 11.00
Total postflop AF: 2.74 (I feel dirty...no, actually I have no idea how this was so low)
Flop: 3.05
Turn: 2.55
River: 2.48

Folded to river bet: 32.14%

I'll get cracking on 2/4 after dinner.

Early returns from 2/4 have me up 17.25 BBs after 103 hands. This would be much easier if I didn't have other things to do besides poker.

Oh, and I finally managed to win a hand with AA.
